Artist: Felix Kubin
Title: Filmmusik
Format: 12" LP/CD
Catalog: gr2001 / a13
Release Date: 24.06.1998
Order: sold out

This first album release of Felix Kubin comprises two film soundtracks for animated cartoons by Polish artist Mariola Brillowska: "Katharina & Witt, Fiction & Reality" deals with conspirations and racketeering in the art world, while "The Contr-Contras" tells the story of a devil´s child named Bonroso who burns his parents in Pizza boxes. The music balances the drastic contents of the films with a rather romantic mixture of 60's French film music, early New Wave and electronic pop of the 90's, including some short original outtakes of the films. One episode of the record is composed by Günter Reznicek (Grönlandorchester, Nova Huta).

The album was voted one of the best 100 releases of the 1990s by renowned online magazine FACT. It was reissued by A-Musik on CD with several bonus tracks in 1999, and again on double LP in 2014 including unheard material from the archive (Gagarin Records, gr20011).
